Should i pursue CCNP Enterprise after CCNA?
#1
I’m trying to decide if the CCNP Enterprise is worth pursuing now that I’ve had my CCNA for a couple years. My current role involves a lot more design and troubleshooting of larger campus networks, and I’m not sure if the deep dive into advanced routing protocols and automation will actually be useful or if it’s just a checkbox for HR.

I've been there after CCNA; the CCNP Enterprise helped me design bigger campuses and gave hands on exposure to multi site troubleshooting, but the deeper routing dives only clicked when I faced a real scalability issue.

I started the track and got bogged down in automation labs, and I pulled the plug when my daily work didn't line up with the exam pace.

For me the design conversations in the cert mattered more than memorizing every protocol counter, though that won't be the case in every shop.

If you're already handling campus design, it could be worth it, but you might finish with a lot of theory and not a single new project.

Is the real blocker the lack of projects to apply the new skills, or is it the cert itself?
