Should i replace my street triple exhaust with a full system and a tune?

I’m trying to decide if I should replace the stock exhaust on my street triple with a full system. I love the sound and weight savings, but I’m worried about the fueling getting thrown off without a proper tune. Has anyone here gone through with it and noticed a big difference in how it runs?

I did a full system on my street triple and it sounded great and the weight loss was real, but I ended up getting a proper tune after and it settled in nicely.

I left the ECU alone and changed only the pipe, and it ran fine but the mid range felt a touch flat until I rode it a while and learned to live with it.

Maybe the bigger clue is that the problem you chase with the exhaust is not the real issue, it could be a tiny air leak or old plugs making it feel lean.

One thing I learned is to ride it a bit and watch for any bog or sudden pops before you decide, because the difference can feel big on first test ride then fade.
