Should I see a doctor about a weaker urinary stream that's lasted months?

I’ve been noticing a weaker stream for a few months now, and it’s starting to worry me. It just doesn’t feel like it used to, and sometimes it takes a bit longer to get started. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of change in their urinary flow?

Yeah I noticed the same thing a while back. The stream felt weaker and it would take longer to start. I cut caffeine, drank more water, and tried to be patient, but the change kept coming back in waves.

I kept a tiny log for a couple weeks. Time from deciding to go until the stream started. How strong it felt and whether I felt like I was straining. The notes were not precise but they showed a slow drift toward weaker starts as the day wore on. It was enough to worry me.

Do you think this is the real problem or could factors like stress or sleep be making it feel off?

I ignored it for months and then it did not improve on its own. When I finally talked to a clinician they did a basic check and suggested watching for red flags like blood or fever and possibly a simple test if it sticks around.
