Should I see a doctor for a weaker urine stream that's lasted months?

I’ve been noticing a weaker stream for a few months now, and it’s starting to worry me. It just doesn’t feel like it used to, and sometimes it takes a bit longer to get started. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of change, and did you find it was just a normal part of aging or something you needed to get checked?

I went through something similar last year. At first I kept notes on when it happened and how long it took to start. It didn’t explode into a big deal, but a quick clinic visit felt reassuring. They did a basic check and suggested watching for other signs; nothing dramatic happened, but it did spike my anxiety for a bit.

A friend of mine had something similar and they told me sometimes it’s just aging, but they still had a doctor check it out. They did a simple test and asked about hydration and meds. The results were inconclusive, and honestly that uncertainty stuck with me longer than the symptoms.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I started paying attention to routines, caffeine, and water intake, but it’s hard to tell if any of that changes things. It felt like chasing a moving target and I regretted waiting so long to talk to someone.

Do you think the issue is the stream itself or something else like hydration or sleep? It’s one thing to notice a change and another to pin it down.
