Should I see the space station horror trailer in theaters or at home?

I just saw the new trailer for that space station horror film, and I’m genuinely torn on whether I should watch it in theaters. The zero-gravity chase scenes look incredible for the big screen, but I’m worried the whole thing might rely too heavily on jump scares that won’t feel as intense at home. Has anyone else felt this specific dilemma with a recent trailer?

I felt the same tug. The zero-gravity chase scenes look insane on the big screen, and I’m drawn to that in a theater. But I worry the movie will lean on jump scares that don’t land the same at home, so I’m torn.

I did something similar last year with another space horror. I went to the theater for the atmosphere—the hull hum, the airlock thud, the crowd reacting. It was thrilling and the scares did land, but the loudness and the sound mix sometimes overwhelmed me in the moment, and I found it easier to calm down later at home.

Do you think the real problem is the theater experience itself or the film's pacing? I keep wondering if I’m chasing the wrong thing.

I tried to test this once by not watching trailers at all, and then watching the film after. It still surprised me, but it felt different. Maybe I’ll wait for reviews or streaming to judge how heavy the scares are overall.
