That scam vibe hits hard. I got a notice about a prize, and a tiny processing fee before shipping. I started thinking maybe it was just spam from some unrelated group, so I checked the sender and the official page. The domain didn’t match and the organizer’s name sounded off, so I walked away without paying.

I once paid a small fee thinking it was the last step, and the supposed shipment never came. The tracking number was bogus, and the reply cadence stopped dead.

My current rule is never pay upfront. I ask for the exact terms, a verifiable shipping policy, and a public contact for the raffle, then I walk away if they dodge that. If it’s real, they’ll show receipts or a legit tracking link.
