As we approach 2025, I've been thinking about what gaming trends 2025 might bring. We've seen the rise of live service games, the resurgence of single-player narratives, and now AI integration seems to be the next big thing.

What gaming trends 2025 are you noticing or predicting? I'm curious about both technological trends and design trends. For example, will we see more games using generative AI for content, or is that still a few years away?

I'm also interested in business model trends. Subscription services seem to be evolving, and there's been a lot of discussion about game pricing and microtransactions.

What do you think will be the most significant gaming trends 2025? And which trends are you excited about versus concerned about?

Understanding gaming trends helps me decide where to invest my time and money in the coming year.

I’ve been trying to reduce my household waste for a while now, but I’m hitting a wall with food packaging. Everything seems to come wrapped in layers of plastic, even the so-called eco options. I’m starting to wonder if my individual effort even matters in the grand scheme of our consumption.

I started shopping with jars at a local bulk shop and kept a tote for produce. It cut some packaging, but I still run into plastic wherever I turn, especially snack foods.

I tried silicone bags and metal tins for leftovers, but they stain and feel fussy during a hectic week. Still, I keep using them when I can.

We started composting kitchen scraps and our trash bin finally slowed down; our weekly garbage became biweekly for a bit. It felt good even if it didn’t fix packaging everywhere.

Sometimes it feels like a drop in a bucket, because the system keeps pumping out packaging. I still end up buying things wrapped in plastic when there’s no practical alternative.

Do you think the packaging problem is solvable at the individual level or is the real issue the supply chain?

One day I drifted off after a grocery trip and bought a ready-made bar in plastic; felt defeated, but I rinsed the tub and moved on. Small wins matter, even if they’re messy.
