Should I uninstall the Epic Games Launcher to free up space?
#1
I'm trying to decide if I should finally uninstall the Epic Games Launcher from my PC. I only ever open it for the free weekly games, but then I just add them to my library and never actually play them through that client. It feels like it's just taking up space for no real benefit to my actual gaming.

I finally pulled the plug on it after realizing I only open it for the weekly freebies and then forget about it. It was taking up space and adding a tiny drag to startup time, and I didn’t miss it once it was gone.

I did the same. If a new freebie drops, I figure I’ll grab it when I actually want to deal with reinstalling or opening the launcher again, but today I don’t miss the extra icon on my desktop.

Do you think the real issue is the launcher or something else about your gaming habits?

One small thing I noticed after uninstalling is the sense that freebies aren’t a dangling backlog anymore, even if I’m not sure I’ll actually play them. The clutter on screen is lighter, at least for now.
