Should I upgrade to a lightweight wireless mouse for better battery life?

I’m trying to decide if I should upgrade my current mouse to a lightweight wireless model, but I’m worried the battery life might annoy me during long sessions. My wired one feels a bit sluggish now, but at least I never have to think about charging it.

I upgraded to a lightweight wireless a few months ago. It’s really light and fits my hand well, and the battery usually gets me through a full workday. When I hit a long streaming session I’ll put it on a quick-charge dock for a minute and keep going, no big deal. The occasional mid‑session check on the battery is still there but manageable.

I kept wired for the long sessions because charging mid game or a video call sounds awful to me. The wired feel isn’t terrible, and I don’t have to think about the battery at all. If I ever switch, I’d want something with solid battery life and a non intrusive charging routine.

Do you think the problem is actually the charging anxiety or is it the idea of wireless latency that bugs you more?

I tried a featherweight wireless and it was fine for a week, then the grip didn’t sit right after a few hours and I started doubting the whole move. I drifted back to wired mostly, and I still wonder if there’s a middle ground that doesn’t trade grip for weight.
