Should i worry about a crease in the z fold inner display?
#1
I just got the new Galaxy Z Fold and I’m already noticing a faint crease in the middle of the main screen when it’s fully open and the display is off. Is this normal for the folding mechanism to settle in like this, or should I be worried about the long-term durability of the inner panel?

I've got mine open flat and yeah a faint crease shows up too. With folding screens, that middle line is kind of expected until the layers settle. If it stays light and the touch screen still feels normal, I wouldn’t panic. If it deepens or you notice weird brightness or dead spots, then you’d want to check with support.

I noticed the same after a few days. It’s so light you only see it when the screen is off and you catch the light just right. I’m not sure if that means anything long term or if it’ll fade as it loosens up.

I tried not to obsess, but watching the crease catch the light made me rethink. Maybe it’s a feature of the hinge’s design to tolerate flex, but that didn’t reassure me much. Still unsure if this means the panel will last or if it’s a sign of something later failing.

Could the real issue be something else like how the phone was shipped or a slight misalignment during assembly? Do you have a warranty plan in place yet?
