Should the gardener's gloves in the finale hint at a longer presence?

I was rewatching the finale and I’m stuck on the final shot of the garden. It looks like the gardener’s gloves on the bench are the same mismatched pair we saw in the season two flashback, but that character wasn’t there. Is the show implying they never left, or am I just seeing a random production detail?

Honestly I think it is just a prop thing and not a clue The gloves look the same because sets reuse pieces all the time

I paused and checked the making of footage and behind the scenes photos and nothing called out that prop set

Last season they did a similar thing and I chased a thread that led nowhere I bet this one follows the pattern but who knows
