How can i grow my educational art audience and get more subscribers?
#1
I’ve been trying to build a consistent audience for my educational art videos, but my growth has completely stalled. I’m putting out what I think is solid content on a regular schedule, yet I can’t seem to get that initial spark of community engagement or meaningful subscriber increase.

I was stuck for ages until I started thinking about who the audience actually is and what they’re trying to learn. I wrote down a short list of topics and tried to keep every video around one clear goal.

I kept posting on a schedule, but the comments stayed quiet. I started asking viewers for feedback in the video itself and in the description.

I experimented with shorter clips that distilled a single technique and added a quick takeaway at the end. retention numbers went up a bit on day one, then settled back down.

I had a plan to buddy up with a creator, but it felt forced, so I shelved it and doubled down on solo tutorials that show mistakes as well as progress.

I tried reels with flashy edits and puns, and yeah some people liked it, but it didn't translate to longer watch times or subscribers.

Do you think the problem is the format or the topic, or maybe something else?

I did a live stream once just to test the vibe and answer questions in real time. It drew a handful of new followers for a few days, then it faded again.
