How can I stop getting ghosted by clans and show value beyond K/D?

I’ve been trying to get into a decent clan for a while, but every time I apply, they ask for my stats and then just ghost me. My K/D is okay, not amazing, but I’m always on for the objective and have good comms. Is there some unspoken rule I’m missing here, or do most groups only care about the raw numbers?

Yeah I feel that. Teams often ask for stats and ghost after you send them. What helped me once was adding a tight, real world snippet in my intro: a couple of objective numbers, one clutch moment, and a line about how I keep comms clear under pressure. I didn’t change how I play, just showed what I actually bring in a squad setting. Still, a lot of groups vanish anyway, or only reply with a quick ‘we’ll get back to you.’

I've noticed some clans live for the numbers and others want a vibe they can feel in chat. After I shared stats, I got ghosted, but when we did a quick scrim and they saw how I rotate and call out, I got a response. Still, a lot of teams just vanish after you send the intro.

Do you ever wonder if the problem is the real thing you want to fix, like are you chasing the wrong kind of clan instead of finding people you actually click with? I asked a few friends to run a couple private games and it made it clear the recruitment chat is only part of it. I’m not sure what the fix is, just that the process feels random a lot of days.

One night I folded a plan and started writing a tiny highlight reel instead of a full application. It was messy and not perfect, but it got faster replies. I didn’t land anything big yet, but it reminded me that small tests beat long forms sometimes. Still not a slam dunk for me.
