I just hit Adventure Rank 45 in Genshin Impact and I'm staring at these artifact domains, completely paralyzed about where to even start farming. Everyone talks about the perfect main stats and substats, but I burned all my fragile resin on one domain yesterday and got nothing but Def% circlets. How do you even know if you're on the right track or just wasting your time?

That happened to me last week I went in with resin and walked away with a handful of Def circlets I started keeping a log of what dropped and realized I was chasing the idea of the perfect piece instead of what actually helps my team

I tried a little method I kept short notes on drops for a week and compared them to what my heroes actually need for the team I noticed sometimes the domains spit pieces with crit rate or ATK substats and that tiny pattern made resin spending feel less random I kept farming those domains even if some days the pieces were meh and it still felt slow but at least I felt a little control artifact domains

Is the real problem the goal you chase or the way you measure progress in the end?

I went back to a simple rotation and kept two pieces I actually like from a single domain which felt slow but honest I did not suddenly get the upgrade I hoped for but I did stop feeling like I was wasting resin for nothing
