What’s the best way to decide if I should keep my premium music streaming?

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth keeping my premium music streaming service when I already subscribe to two major video platforms that include music in their libraries. The quality and selection on the dedicated app is better, but I’m not sure I use it enough to justify the extra monthly fee.

Kept the premium music service. I notice the sound quality on the dedicated app feels fuller, and offline downloads are a game changer when I commute. I don’t binge on it, but I end up using it more for the curated playlists than I expected, which makes the extra cost feel worth it, at least for me.

I canceled after a month. Between two big video platforms I can almost always find what I want, and the bundled music is convenient. The difference in quality isn’t huge over my phone and Bluetooth at the gym, so the extra monthly fee feels hard to justify.

I tried a week without it. I tracked hours and playlists and it dropped by about 40 percent when I switched back to the video platforms. I missed some discovery and a couple of offline runs, but not enough to declare a win or loss.

Sometimes I drift into the app's recommendations and end up chasing new artists I wouldn’t have found otherwise. I guess the curation has value, but I am not sure if that utility is worth the cost for me. If you had to pick one metric, would you measure hours listened or new artist discovery?
