I've been using the Epic Games launcher for a few months now, but I can't seem to get the overlay to work consistently in any game. It just never pops up when I press the shift-F3 shortcut, so I miss out on the friend list and those free weekly games. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what might be causing it? My friends on Discord say theirs works fine, which makes it even more confusing for me.

Yeah, I ran into the same thing. Pressing the shortcut never popped up, and I kept missing the friend list and the weekly games.

I think I fixed it by disabling Discord and turning on Epic's overlay in the settings, though I’m not 100% sure it was the real fix.

I started wondering if it was a background hiccup more than a launcher issue. I allowed updates to run, and sometimes the window showed up after a while, which felt arbitrary.
