What’s the best way to farm the new crafting mats after the patch?

I just downloaded the latest patch for the game and I'm a bit confused about the new crafting material they added. I was trying to upgrade my gear last night and the whole resource economy feels different now, like the old farming routes don't give the right components anymore. I'm not sure if I should be focusing on a new activity or if I'm just missing something obvious about how to get what I need.

Yep I felt that I grinded the old routes for hours and kept pulling shards instead of the upgrade mats. The patch shuffled drops and the new material sits behind a different recipe. I spent a night chasing rumors and still ended up with junk components

Honestly I am not sure if the new material is tied to a new activity or just the drop tables could it be tied to the daily quest I cannot tell?

Last night I tried a few runs in the new zone and it still felt off no clear mats dropping and the economy shift made everything feel slower I shelved the upgrade plan for now

Part of me wonders if this patch mess is the real problem or if I am chasing the wrong thing entirely maybe I should just stockpile for later and see what comes next
