What’s the difference between a weak offer and poor outreach for my landing page?

I’ve been running a small landing page for my service idea for about six weeks, collecting emails. The initial sign-up rate was decent, but it’s completely flatlined now. I’m not sure if that means the core concept is flawed or if I just haven’t reached the right people yet. How do you tell the difference between a weak offer and poor outreach?

That happened to me a while back. First week we got a decent handful of signups, then nothing for a month. I started blaming the idea, but when I checked who signed up early I found it was a small circle who cared about something adjacent. The bulk of traffic never connected with that need, so the offer felt weak, but it wasn’t clear if it was the core concept or the audience.

I kept changing the landing page visuals and headlines, and still no lift. It started to feel more like a signal problem than a concept problem. The later visitors weren’t sticking around long enough to get to the why now part.

One thing that helped a bit was direct conversations with people who signed up or left. The feedback was noisy and slow, but I learned that their priorities were shifting and my framing missed a real trigger.

Are you tracking which traffic sources bring the signups and which ones don’t?

I drifted into a tangent about a different product for a day, then came back. The page had heat on it in the first week, then a cold stretch. It felt like the audience or the problem changed, not the copy.

I’m not sure what to conclude yet. The signs are messy. Maybe the core idea is fine and I’m just in a quiet period, or maybe I’m not reaching the right people. It’s frustrating and incomplete.
