What’s the real value of PS5 Pro on an older 4K TV?

I finally got my hands on a PS5 Pro, but I’m honestly not sure the visual upgrade is worth it on my older 4K TV. The difference seems really subtle in the games I’ve tried, and I’m wondering if anyone else is feeling the same way.

PS5 Pro is neat, but on my older 4K TV the upgrade felt subtle in most games. HDR pops up in a few cutscenes, but in actual play the difference is easy to miss unless you really pause and compare.

I tried it on a handful of titles and didn’t see a big leap. Textures looked a tad sharper in one game, but it didn’t justify the extra spend for me.

Am I chasing the real problem here, or is the TV the bottleneck? Maybe the upgrade only shows its teeth on a newer panel or with a specific viewing distance.

Maybe I should look at other angles—faster load times, fewer stalls, or just the vibe of the game—not just pixels. I did try swapping the HDMI cable and tuning HDR a bit, and it helped a little, but no wow moment.
