What affects pass-through clarity on Quest 3 for mixed reality games?
#1
I just got a Quest 3 and the pass-through is way grainier than I expected for mixed reality. When I try to play something like Demeo, my real coffee table looks like a blurry mess that the virtual tabletop just floats on top of, which totally kills the immersion. Is this just the current hardware limit, or are some apps better at blending the virtual and real worlds than others?

Not just you The pass through is still not sharp enough for many mixed reality moments The cameras grab a lot of grain and the real table ends up looking blurred The board floats and immersion drops fast

I tried more light and moved the table under a brighter lamp Then I noticed a tiny improvement but the grain stayed and the edge where real and virtual meet still feels soft I did a test with two rooms and got different results

Could it be that the real issue is depth data more than lens sharpness The depth layer feels inconsistent in most rooms and that messes with the blend on the edges?

I am not sure this is a simple fix A lot of my friends found some apps look cleaner but only in certain lighting The whole thing still feels early even on quest 3
