What am i missing to get a weapon mod to show up in my inventory?

I’m trying to get a custom weapon mod working for my single-player game, but every time I load the save, the item just isn’t in my inventory like the description says it should be. I followed the install instructions, used the mod manager, and even checked for conflicts, but I’m wondering if there’s something specific about how this game handles adding items via script that I’m missing.

I’ve run into this too. Some scripts that add items don’t fire on load; they trigger when the game initializes or after you do something first. In one mod the weapon finally appeared after I opened the character screen and did a quick action.

I kept chasing conflicts in the mod manager but nothing obvious showed up, and the item would vanish after reloading the save.

Seems like it could be a form id or state mismatch; if the save came from a different build, the script might skip the add entirely.

Do you know if the mod has a known bug on first load?
