What are signs of eustachian tube dysfunction and how to treat?

I’ve been dealing with a persistent feeling of pressure and fullness in my left ear for about three weeks now. It’s not exactly painful, but it’s distracting, and my own voice sounds oddly muffled and echoey on that side. I’m wondering if this could be related to a problem with my eustachian tube function, since it hasn’t cleared up with typical congestion remedies.

I've had a similar thing around three weeks ago—left ear fullness, muffled voice, no sharp pain. It felt slow and nagging after a cold. It turned out to be a problem with my Eustachian tube, not an infection, and it lingered for weeks. The sound on that side was echoey and easy to notice. The doctor suggested patience and watching for red flags, since ETD can wobble along for quite a while.

At the clinic they did a quick hearing check and looked in the ear. Nothing dramatic on the exam, but they explained that blocked tubes can sound like this and that it can take time to clear.

Have you had a recent cold, allergies, or altitude changes? Those can mess with the tubes and might explain the pressure.

I started keeping a humidifier going and tried to stay hydrated, and I kept wondering if it’s my voice or the room that sounds off. Not sure any of that matters, and I’m not sure what else to try.
