What can I do about battery drain on my Razer Blade during light use?

I just got the new Razer Blade and the battery drains so fast when I'm just browsing or doing light work. I expected more from a laptop at this price, and I'm wondering if others are seeing the same thing with their new models or if I might have a setting wrong.

Yep, same here on my Blade. Even with light browsing it eats a decent amount of juice. I dropped the refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz and nudged brightness down a notch, and it buys me a bit more time, but it’s still not what I expected for the price.

I keep thinking there’s a software quirk. Mine sometimes shows decent battery life in the morning and then tanks after a few background tasks. Chrome with a few tabs and Windows indexing can drain it faster than I expected.

Have you updated the BIOS and graphics drivers yet? Some folks saw power quirks on early blades that went away after firmware updates.

I even tried turning off the RGB and some background services for a test, but the numbers didn’t line up with the eye test. It almost felt like the gauge was optimistic, then dropped fast after a wake from sleep. I’m not sure if it’s the model or just how I use it, but it’s frustrating.
