What can i do if anc makes bass sound hollow on wireless earbuds?

I just got the new wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation, and I’m finding the sound quality a bit flat when the feature is turned on. It’s like the bass gets hollowed out and everything sounds distant, which is the opposite of what I expected from such a premium feature. Has anyone else noticed this trade-off with their own ANC headphones?

Yeah I picked up a similar set recently and when the feature is on the bass really goes flat and everything feels distant. It’s like the driver is fighting the noise instead of delivering punch.

I fiddled with fit and tips a bunch, but the hollow bass stayed until I found a seal that felt solid. It helped a bit, but not a cure.

Did you update the firmware yet?

Sometimes I wonder if the problem isn’t the feature at all but the room or the mix of songs. On some tracks it still sounds off even when I think the seal is fine.
