What can I do to remove my personal data from a doxxing site?
#1
I just found a site that has my full name, my old addresses, and even relatives listed, all compiled without my consent. It feels like my entire personal history is just sitting out there for anyone to see, and I have no idea how it got there or if I can even get it removed.

That sounds awful. I found my name plus old addresses on one of those data-lookup sites last year. I started by saving the exact URLs and taking screenshots, then I drafted a short note asking for removal and kept a log of every step and reply.

I actually tried a removal request. I used their contact form, kept it simple, and pointed to their privacy policy. They asked for a bunch of details and even a copy of ID, which felt wrong but I sent what they asked. No real progress after weeks.

Maybe the real issue isn’t one page. Some data ends up on several aggregators or came from public records that never get purged. It can feel like a game of whack-a-mole chasing the copies around. Do you know if this site is compliant with data privacy laws?

Meanwhile I minimized risk by freezing my credit and setting up alerts, and I started monitoring my name in searches and on the big data brokers. It doesn’t fix the core problem, but it buys a little time while you figure out the legal angle or a real opt-out path. It still bugs me every morning.
