What can I do when teammates won't communicate in ranked play?

I’ve been grinding ranked in a tactical shooter, and I keep getting matched with teammates who refuse to use their mics or even ping. It feels like I’m playing a solo queue against a coordinated five-stack every single game. How do you even begin to strategize or call out flanks when your team’s communication is completely nonexistent?

I hear that. In my own games I started with one simple cue per round — like watch the left flank — and I’d say it once. It didn’t fix everything, but at least someone glanced at the map.

Sometimes I try to lock in a tiny plan before the round and just run it, even if no one talks. If no one says anything I still peek corners, time smokes, and try to force space. It feels clumsy but it’s what I can do.

Maybe the problem isn’t only mute teammates. Maybe I’m chasing coordination in a game that rewards chaos. If you can’t get even a single utterance, is the real issue the queue or our expectations of teamwork in ranked?

I once invited a friend to queue as a 'coach' for a night and had them steer simple holds. It helped a few rounds, then went back to normal. It wasn’t a fix, just a patch.
