I just got a new graphics card and now my game keeps freezing for a few seconds every couple of minutes, especially in demanding areas. I’ve updated the drivers and checked my temperatures, which seem normal, so I’m not sure what’s causing these micro-stutters. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of performance hiccup after a hardware upgrade?

I had a similar thing after my GPU upgrade it would freeze for a second in busy areas I checked temps and drivers and nothing obvious stood out

Mine were tied to texture streaming and loading assets from disk during big scenes it would pause while new data loaded

I tried closing a few background apps and dropped a couple of settings in game it helped some but the stutters were still there

Could it be power saving in the GPU driver or a BIOS setting and is that really the issue?

I am not confident but I keep thinking maybe a background task like Windows indexing or antivirus scan grabs cycles during those scenes
