What causes stutter in the Epic Games launcher when browsing my library?

I’ve been using the Epic Games launcher for a while now, but I keep running into this weird stutter whenever I try to navigate my library or the store. It’s not in-game, just the launcher itself, and it makes browsing for new titles a really choppy experience. Has anyone else dealt with this, and does it maybe have to do with how it handles updates in the background?

Yep, I had the same thing. The stutter happens when the library grid is loading or the store page refreshes, and it’s just the launcher UI, not in games.

For me it got worse when updates were being checked in the background. CPU would spike for a moment and the UI would freeze a beat.

Do you think the real issue is the launcher waiting on indexing or update checks, rather than a network thing?

I tried turning off background updates and clearing cache once, and it helped a little, but it still comes back if I flip around quickly. I mostly just pace my clicks and wait it out.
