What changed about that actor's face in the latest photos?

I just saw the latest photos of that actor from the show I like, and I barely recognized them. Has anyone else noticed how much their face seems to have changed recently? It’s not just aging, it’s something about the structure that looks completely different.

Yeah I caught that too. Photos mess with features with lighting, angles, and makeup.

On set I’ve seen hairstyles and contouring do a lot to the perceived shape of a face. It’s not always real change.

I compared a couple of older pics next to the new ones and the cheek area looked different, but it could be weight, lens, or editing—hard to tell.
