What could be causing sharp side pain after meals and gallbladder concerns?
#1
I’ve been getting this weird, sudden pain in my side just under my ribs, especially after I eat a normal-sized meal. It’s not a dull ache, it’s a sharp, cramping sensation that makes it hard to sit still, and I’m wondering if it could be related to my gallbladder.

That sharp pain after meals makes me think of a gallbladder flare, but I’m not a doctor, so take it as a guess.

I had something similar once and started journaling what I ate and when the pain hit. Mostly it showed up with fatty foods and sat heavy for a bit.

Could be a lot of things like gas, stomach cramps, or even stress. It didn’t feel the same every time for me.

If you ever get fever, vomiting, or the pain becomes unbearable, that’s a sign to get help fast.

I found a short walk after meals sometimes loosened things up and kept the discomfort from sticking around.

A friend who’s a nurse said clinics often do an ultrasound to check the gallbladder and ducts if the pattern fits, so that’s what I’d consider if it keeps happening.
