What could be causing this persistent head pressure?

I’ve been having this strange, constant feeling of pressure in my head, like it’s being squeezed in a vice. It’s not exactly a headache, and it doesn’t throb, but it’s always there and makes it hard to concentrate. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this kind of persistent head pressure and what it might be related to.

I've had something similar a few times. it felt like a constant squeeze not a headache, usually after a stressful week or not drinking enough water. I started keeping a bottle nearby, and a quick 5 minute walk or stretch helped a bit. Not a cure, but it made it easier to focus for a while.

During long screen days I blamed it on eye strain and the room. I tried different chair heights, screen brightness, even temperature. The pressure persisted, but when I forced myself to take short breaks every hour and look away for 20 seconds, it softened a touch.

I kept a tiny log for a couple weeks and found the feeling would show up even if I slept okay. I know it’s not scientific, but sometimes caffeine timing or meals seemed to line up with this head pressure. Not convincing, but I kept at it hoping to spot a pattern.

Maybe this isn’t even the head thing we’re chasing. I sometimes wonder if neck tension, sleeping position, or stress is the real trigger, and the pressure is just a signal from something else entirely. Do you think this is the real issue or could something else be going on? If it sticks around, it seems sensible to talk to a clinician, but I’m not sure what they’d say.
