What could be throwing off my circadian rhythm despite a solid sleep routine?
#1
I’ve been trying to stick to a consistent sleep schedule for months, but my energy levels still feel completely unpredictable during the day. I get my seven hours, keep the room dark and cool, and avoid screens before bed, yet I’m often dragging myself through the afternoon. I’m starting to wonder if my circadian rhythm is just permanently out of sync or if there’s something in my daily routine, maybe my meal timing or morning light exposure, that’s undermining everything.

I hear you. I’ve done seven hours of sleep, kept the room dark and cool, and avoided screens before bed, and still I’m dragging through the afternoon. Some days I push through with a coffee and a quick walk, other days I crash no matter what I ate or when I woke up. I started wondering if maybe my circadian rhythm is out of sync, or if there’s something in my daily routine—meal timing, morning light, even Sunday sleep pattern—that’s quietly sabotaging me.

Is the real issue something else, like chronic sleep debt from a few rough weeks, or daily stress showing up at the worst times? I’m not sure I can separate sleep luck from the rest of life anymore.

I tried a 15 minute bright light session in the morning and a short brisk walk after lunch. One day I felt a little perk, but the lift didn’t stick and the next day I was back to square one.

I kept a loose log for a week—bedtime, wake time, meals, naps, mood—and it felt like a map that didn’t fit. Then I started drifting toward thinking maybe I’m chasing a perfect schedule that doesn’t exist, and that uncertainty just feeds the fatigue.
