What could cause a constant globus sensation even with a normal throat exam?

I've had this constant feeling of something stuck in my throat for over a month now, but my doctor says my throat looks fine. It’s not painful, just this persistent globus sensation that makes me want to clear my throat all the time.

I had something similar for months. The doc said nothing obvious. I started sipping water all day, kept caffeine late, and used a small humidifier at night. It didn’t disappear, but there were days it felt a touch less annoying.

For me it felt like stress or tension in the throat. I did slow breathing and gentle neck stretches before bed. It helped my nerves a bit, but the globus stayed there.

Have you noticed if it gets worse with dry air or after meals?

I kept thinking it was a problem with the throat, then realized I’d been hunching over a laptop all day. I tried a standing desk and short breaks; the urge to clear my throat loosened sometimes, but the sensation came back.
