What could cause a weaker urine stream and not fully emptying the bladder?

I’ve noticed my urine stream has become noticeably weaker over the past few months, and sometimes it feels like I’m not fully emptying my bladder. I’m in my late fifties and otherwise healthy, but this change has me a bit concerned.

I’m in my late fifties too, and a few months back I noticed the same thing. The stream felt weaker, and there were times when I felt like I hadn’t fully emptied. I blamed it on staying up late, caffeine, or a simple bladder habit, but it didn’t go away.

I eventually told my GP, and they did a urine test to rule out infection and asked about meds and flow aside from the feeling of incomplete emptying. They mentioned enlarged prostate is common in men my age and suggested a follow up imaging if it persisted.

I tried to adjust fluids and cut back on caffeine for a few weeks, but the change was small and the symptoms lingered. It felt frustrating, and I wasn’t sure if I should push harder for tests or just wait.
