What could cause my car to pull to the right when braking hard with even tires?

I’ve noticed my car pulls to the right whenever I brake firmly, but the steering wheel stays perfectly straight. I checked the tire pressures and they’re even, so I’m wondering if it could be something in the braking system itself that’s worn unevenly.

When it happens only during hard braking and the wheel stays straight, it often means a front brake issue like a sticking caliper or uneven rotor wear. I had a caliper seize slightly on one side and the car pulled toward that side when braking hard, even though the steering wheel stayed centered.

I thought maybe it was alignment, but tire pressures were fine. In my case it turned out the rotor on one side wore thinner and the caliper wore unevenly, which pulled under braking.

I had the pads and rotors checked; one side was worn a bit and the caliper slide was sticking a notch. Replaced pads and rotor; it improved but not perfect.

Could it be something else like a binding wheel bearing or ABS valve behaving oddly during strong deceleration?
