What could cause pelvic and bladder pain while waiting for laparoscopy?

I enjoy having friendly debates about anime, but sometimes it's hard to come up with good anime debate topics that won't lead to arguments. The best anime debate topics are ones where people can have different opinions without things getting heated.

I think anime debate topics about character development or storytelling techniques can be really interesting. What anime debate topics do you think make for good, respectful discussions? Any particular anime debate topics you've enjoyed recently?

I’ve been having this deep, aching pelvic pain for a few months now, mostly around my period but sometimes randomly, and my doctor mentioned it could be endometriosis. I guess I’m just wondering if that kind of pain, where it even hurts to empty my bladder sometimes, is something others have experienced while waiting for a laparoscopy?

I had something similar and the doctors mentioned endometriosis as a possibility; the pain can be worse around your period and even show up when you’re trying to pee.

Waiting for the laparoscopy, I felt like it hovered over every day. The ache stayed, and I kept thinking maybe it would clear up, but it didn’t.

I started a tiny pain diary: date, intensity 0-10, where it hurt, what I ate, meds, and whether it aligned with my cycle. It helped me feel a bit in control when talking to the clinic.

Heat pad, gentle walk, and a warm bath helped a bit on rough days, but the relief was never lasting.

Sometimes it felt like a nerve pain that would spike for no obvious reason, and then fade. It’s hard not to worry.

If the wait is long, some clinics offer basics like ultrasound to rule out other causes; not sure if that’s available where you are, but it’s something I asked about.

I’m no expert, and I’m still waiting too, but I keep telling myself you’re not alone and it’s okay to push for answers, even if the answer isn’t clear yet.
