What did you think of the endgame and loot grind in the new RPG?

I just finished my first playthrough of the new RPG everyone's talking about, and I'm honestly a bit let down by the endgame. The final boss felt more like a gear check than a test of the skills I'd built up over dozens of hours, and the loot grind after the credits rolled was just repetitive. I'm wondering if anyone else felt the same, or if I just missed something about the post-campaign loop.

Yeah, I felt the same way. The final boss just turned into a gear check, and after dozens of hours I wanted it to test what I actually learned, not just whether I had the right weapon. After the credits the loot loop felt endless and samey, like grind for grind’s sake.

I disagree with the idea that there's nothing to do, though I get how it feels. I kept crafting new builds and chased odd loot. The post-credits grind did push me to experiment with a different playstyle and I found some surprisingly fun combos, even if the rewards felt repetitive at times.

I gave the boss multiple tries, swapping roles, and nothing clicked in a predictable way. Maybe I missed a mechanic, or maybe the design wants you to rely on a party comp I didn't have. Not confident I found the answer.

I keep thinking maybe the problem isn't the loop but how I expected it to feel after finishing the story. The hype online made me expect a big twist or meaningful escalation, and when it didn't land I doubted my taste. Still, I did notice some interesting encounters popping up in side zones, even if the loot grind wore me down.
