What did you think of the finale twist: good writing or bad writing?

I just watched the new season and I’m still stuck on the finale’s big twist about the protagonist's real identity. It felt like it came out of nowhere and honestly, I’m not sure if it was a brilliant narrative shock or just bad writing that didn’t earn the reveal. Did anyone else find it hard to buy?

Yeah I felt that too. It landed like a bolt from the blue and I kept staring at the frame for hints but nothing clicked.

I rewound to a few scenes where the clues seemed teased, tried lining them up with the reveal and it still felt off. I even checked fan threads and people were stuck in different directions.

On first watch the shock worked for me, it jolted me out of the lull even if the logic later seemed thin.

Maybe the bigger issue is the season vibe or how they set things up not the twist itself and that mismatch makes it feel unearned So is the real problem the setup rather than the twist?
