What do you do when a word association puzzle leaves you stuck?

I keep getting stuck on the same puzzle in this word association game where you connect two unrelated terms. My brain just freezes trying to find the link between "moonlight" and "calculator," and it’s driving me a little nuts. Does anyone else hit a mental wall on these, or is it just me?

I know that feeling. I freeze on those too and end up staring at the screen like a statue. I usually just tell myself to jot quick, silly words—whatever pops in, no judging how weird it sounds.

I tried a small experiment last week: set a two minute timer and wrote down every tangential angle that could link them, even the totally ridiculous ones. sometimes one of those wild prompts sparked a real bridge later.

Do you ever try stepping away for a minute and coming back with fresh eyes?

I didn't crack it yet either, but shifting to a different puzzle for a bit helps the brain loosen up. When I return, the block feels smaller and I notice tiny patterns I missed.
