What do you think about the eye animation style shift in the final frame?

I just finished the latest episode and I’m still stuck on that one shot of the character’s face right before the credits. The way the eyes were drawn felt so incredibly different from the rest of the series, like it belonged to a completely different show. Has anyone else noticed this specific shift in the animation style, or am I just overthinking a single key frame?

Yeah I noticed that too. The eyes looked sharper and the shading oddly glossy, like a different animation pass slipped in right before the credits.

I paused and rewound, thinking maybe my monitor changed, but it stuck out every time that frame showed up.

I checked the episode notes or the credits quick and saw a different studio name credited for the last sequence, so maybe it was a separate unit.

Part of me wonders if it was a deliberate stylistic choice to signal something, but I keep coming back to the odd contrast and it just sits there in my head.
