What does a retroverted uterus have to do with period pain?
#1
I’ve been told I have a retroverted uterus after my last pelvic exam. My doctor said it’s just a normal anatomical variation, but I’m still curious if this common tilt could be the reason I often feel a deep, aching pressure during my period that’s different from typical cramping.

I’ve got a retroverted uterus too, and my doctor said it’s common, but the deep, aching pressure I feel during my period still bothers me more than usual cramps.

I started keeping a simple diary for a few cycles to map when the ache hits and what I’m doing, and I didn’t find a clear link to anything obvious.

Sometimes I wonder if the real issue is something else like endometriosis or fibroids, since the pain can be stubborn and different from regular cramps, and I even looked into pelvic floor tension stuff for a while, but nothing definitive turned up.

Have you noticed whether the pressure shifts with different positions or activities?
