What does dull right lower abdominal pain after meals mean for appendicitis?
#1
For the last few weeks, I’ve noticed a persistent, dull ache in my lower right abdomen. It’s not sharp, but it’s always there, and it seems to get a bit worse after I eat. I’m wondering if this could be related to my appendix, but I don’t have a fever or any nausea.

I had something similar for a few weeks last year I started keeping a diary of what I ate and when the ache showed up It followed meals and was not terrible but it did not go away Eventually I got checked by a doctor and nothing urgent showed up It was scary but there was no dramatic news

If the pain is after meals it could be gas or IBS or a gallbladder issue I would not jump to conclusions but I told my clinician about the pattern and they suggested some basic tests and watching for new symptoms

Could this be your appendix I would not jump to that but a persistent ache in that area after meals deserves a quick check especially if it rises with time or you get a fever vomiting or can no longer keep fluids Do you think you could see a clinician soon

I tried a few home ideas and stayed hopeful but nothing changed It can be frustrating to wait and wonder if it is serious I did not have a clear path and I avoided heavy meals for a bit and then decided to get a check up when the pain lingered
