What does migraine aura feel like when it's only visual symptoms?
#1
A lot of people start with the most popular manga series, but there's so much great stuff beyond the mainstream. I'm always looking for interesting manga recommendations that might not get as much attention.

When giving manga recommendations, I try to consider what someone has enjoyed before. What manga recommendations would you give to someone who's read the big names and wants to explore further? Any hidden gems in your manga recommendations list?

I’ve been having these brief episodes where my vision goes gray and patchy for about twenty minutes, and it’s always followed by a dull headache on one side. My doctor mentioned it could be related to a migraine aura, but I’ve never actually had the severe head pain I always hear about. Has anyone else experienced just the visual disturbance part?

That sounds scary. I have had something similar once, vision going gray and patchy for about 15 minutes, then a dull headache on one side.

For me it felt like migraine aura without the heavy migraine - like a foggy windshield over the field of vision, then a small ache afterward.

I started noting when it happened, what I ate, caffeine, and sleep. Nothing consistent showed up, but it did help me feel a little calmer.

I worried it could be something worse and backed off on activities for a while, hoping it wouldn’t come back.

Have you had it checked with a clinician yet?

One time it lingered longer than usual, then it faded. Other times it was not as bad, and I moved on, not sure what to make of it.
