What does the family portrait reflection mean in that scene—flashback or vision?
#1
I just rewatched the scene where the character stares at the family portrait, and I swear the reflection in the glass shows a figure that wasn't in the room. It’s making me question if the entire sequence is a flashback or something the protagonist is imagining. Has anyone else noticed this visual trick?

I paused and looked again, and the reflection did read like a second silhouette. But I kept telling myself it was just the glass glare.

I watched it twice and it still felt like a trick of light more than a real person appearing. I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but I’m leaning toward glare rather than a memory cue.

There was that moment where I started thinking about the portrait’s age and the dust on the frame, like maybe they wanted us to question what’s real. It still felt like a production choice more than a cipher, though.

Could it be a flashback rather than a misread reflection, or is the problem really something else like the timing of the cut?
