What helps improve deep sleep duration and morning energy?
#1
I’ve been tracking my sleep for a while and noticed my deep sleep duration is consistently low, even when I get a full eight hours. I feel like I’m missing out on that crucial restorative phase, and I wake up feeling just as drained as when I went to bed. Has anyone else managed to improve this specific part of their sleep cycle?

Yeah I chased deep sleep for a while too. Get eight hours, still felt wiped. I cut caffeine after lunch, moved workouts earlier, kept a steadier bedtime, and tried a simple wind‑down routine. A few weeks in the numbers flickered up a notch, but in practice I woke up tired anyway and kept wondering if the score even meant something.

I sometimes worry my wearable misreads. Some nights it shows very little deep sleep and I wake up groggy, other nights it shows more deep sleep and I still feel tired. Maybe it’s all overinterpreted.

Did you ever try calibrating the device or comparing two nights with the same routine to see if the numbers line up?

Sometimes I drift off topic and start reading about temperature, light, or stress hormones, but then I come back to sleep and wonder if I’m chasing a signal that isn’t stable. Still, on the nights I’m calmer and not staring at the screen, I feel a bit more rested, even if the deep sleep line doesn’t budge.
