What is Project Nova's movement system, parkour or just fancy climbing?

I just saw that leaked gameplay snippet for Project Nova, and I’m trying to figure out if the movement system is actually a new kind of parkour or if it’s just fancier climbing animations. It looked so fluid in the clip, but I can’t tell if that’s just good animation work or if there’s real mechanical depth there.

I watched the clip a few times it could be a new kind of parkour or maybe just slick climbing with heavy animation blending fluidity can come from mocap and transitions more than a real physics based system

I have dabbled with similar ideas in a side project when the timing slots line up a wall run or ledge grab feels amazing in isolation but in practice input windows are forgiving and the camera masks the rough bits

Do you think the real issue is that we are chasing spectacle rather than real mechanic depth?

If you want a gut check compare a couple clips frame by frame and look for inconsistent inputs or frames where the character is not using the environment I did that once and it felt more animation trick than system
