What is the new valorant meta after vct masters finals?
#1
I just watched the VCT Masters grand finals and I'm honestly confused about how the new meta is shaping pro play. The winning team ran a comp I haven't seen in any of the recent regional qualifiers, and it makes me wonder if the established tier lists for controllers are already outdated.

Caught the finals and it did feel different. They rolled out a comp I hadn’t seen in the qualifiers, faster timings and less of the old space‑control pacing. It looked like a deliberate space creation play, not the standard heavy map holds.

In scrims last week we flirted with something similar. We swapped to earlier aggression on mid and tried to sprint for blows, but we bled map control and our post‑plant setups fell apart. After two days we scrapped it and slid back to the familiar rhythm.

I kept rewatching the mid rounds and it almost felt brittle, like one big swing decided a whole half. They won a couple rounds on one push, then stalled for a stretch. Part of me wonders if it was just the moment.

Do you think this is the real problem, or is it just a one‑off adaptation by that team?
