What is wrong with my follower mod not moving in fights with a combat overhaul?

I’ve been trying to get a custom follower mod to work with my existing combat overhaul, but the follower just stands there during fights. I’m not sure if the issue is a load order problem or a fundamental conflict in the scripts.

Yeah, I had this happen. The follower would just stand there during fights. I suspected load order and script conflicts, swapped the follower mod to load after the combat overhaul and watched the logs for AI packages. It didn't instantly fix it, but it helped me see it wasn't the follower’s fault in cutscenes.

I did a quick test with only the follower and the combat tweak loaded in a clean profile. The follower engaged the dummy for a couple of seconds then froze. It felt like the AI activation never fired.

Maybe the overhaul rewrote the trigger the follower uses to join fights, not just a matter of load order. I’m not confident about that, though.

I started thinking maybe the issue isn’t the mods at all but how the game spawns enemies in this area. I wandered into a different dungeon, ran a quick test there, and the follower behaved briefly, then stopped again. It makes me doubt the real problem.
