What long-term durability issues can heat cause on the Razer Blade 18?

I just got the new Razer Blade 18 and I love the performance, but I’m genuinely worried about its long-term durability. The chassis near the vents gets uncomfortably hot during extended gaming sessions, and I’m concerned that this kind of sustained heat might warp the plastic or damage internal components over a few years. Has anyone else with a powerful gaming laptop noticed hardware issues starting to appear after the warranty period from this kind of thermal stress?

Yep, I’ve got the Blade 18 too. The performance is wild, but the vent side does get uncomfortably hot after extended sessions. I watch temps with HWInfo and after 2–3 hours I’ll see CPU in the high 80s to mid 90s and GPU in the low 80s to mid 80s. The metal chassis near the exhaust is warm but not soft or warping yet. I'm using a lightweight cooling pad and try to elevate the rear a bit, which helps airflow. No signs of deformation or odd behavior after about 9 months, just the usual battery drain and the fan occasionally spooling up.

Same here. I worried about long-term durability, so I kept an eye on stress signs. After about a year I noticed the hinge area felt a touch looser, but I can't prove it was heat. The laptop still runs hot under load, but the shell hasn't bulged or warped as far as I can tell.

Could the real problem be dust buildup or fan degradation rather than the heat itself? I’ve seen machines that run fine until a dusty intake throttles airflow and then everything runs hotter. I haven’t opened up mine, but I do blow out the vents every few months.

Hard to tell for sure. It feels like a numbers game between heat, materials, and design tolerance. If you’re worried, maybe keep an eye on thermals and any signs of delamination or hinge stiffness, but I wouldn’t assume a crisis yet.
