What pre-workout breakfast would give steady energy and improve morning focus?

I’ve been trying to stick to a consistent morning routine to feel more in control of my day, but I keep hitting a wall around 10:30 AM where my focus completely scatters. I’m wondering if my pre-workout breakfast is actually working against me. Maybe I need something that provides a steadier release of energy instead of a quick spike.

I used to crash around 10:30 too. I swapped a quick carb breakfast for something with protein and fat—eggs with avocado and a bit of yogurt with nuts. Helped a bit, but it wasn't a magic fix.

I tried piling on caffeine with a pastry once and got the spike followed by a wall later. Now I aim for steady energy and hydration instead of big jolts.

Maybe the real culprit isn't the breakfast. Sleep quality, hydration, or the morning workload can wobble your focus and the breakfast just becomes a handy scapegoat.

If you want a cheap experiment, keep a tiny log for a week: note your focus at 9:45 and 10:30, what you ate, water intake, and sleep, then look for patterns.
